Shelby GT500CR

After a disappointing partnership with another tuning house, Carroll Shelby is being careful on who to give his precious signature again. But it looks like he found a winner with Classic Recreations and their GT500CR. Based on either the ’67 or ’68 fast back Mustang, the tuners spend up to four months rebuilding this car. A lot of changes are in store, including a 351 cu.in. Windsor engine fitted with a Mass Flo fuel-injection system with ceramic headers. Power is about 545hp and it’s mated to a Tremec transmission and a Ford rear axle. The car’s body is also revamped with scoops, a new hood and a remodeled nose. One thing that won’t change though is the car’s number, as it still carries the Shelby serials. $119,000+.
