Lightning GT

Give yourself a pat on the back if you guessed the kind of power that will propel the Lightning GT. The British-based company is on the late prototyping stages of the electric car and predicted to release it sometime in 2012. Instead of the in-wheel motors on the original plan, the Lightning GT will be powered by a rear-drive setup but will still be quick – naught to 60 in five seconds with a range of 100 miles. Only 250 units will be produced. ~$290,000.
