The Ferrari F40 was a supercar that has achieved almost mythical status. There were some complaints about it though, and Ferrari made sure they’d hear none of that with their 50th anniversary model. Aptly named the F50, the monster featured a V12 that was taken straight from their Formula 1 cars. The engine also served as a structural component to the car’s suspension system, thereby lessening the car’s overall weight. It was another translation of the racing know-how that the Maranello company is famous for. This copy is going under the hammer at RM Auctions’ Villa Erba event in Italy on May 25. For the number-crazy, a bonus for you because this car’s engine number happens to be 45670. ~$548,000+
